I recall as a child when my and my best friend David Stahl used to rush home from school, and practice our magic routines for hours and hours. (We always had to take a break at 5pm, so that Dave could watch his favorite television program, Hogans Heroes)
I was HAPPY when we practiced, and I was HAPPY when we got to perform our stage shows.
I also recall almost EVERY Saturday, we would ride our bikes to the Eagle Magic Store. We would get up early, and load up our bike rack with Mountain Dew, and drive all the way downtown Minneapolis. We would get there when the doors opened. In those days it opened at 9:00am. We would hang out with all the other magicians till it was time for lunch, then a group of us would walk over to the Normandy Inn, and have a Henry the Eighth Burger and fries. Then after lunch, we would head back to Eagle Magic, and hang out till 5pm, then head back home and wait for next Saturday to come around.
Those were my childhood days, that made me HAPPY!
